DeeHairMovement, a luxury hair brand based in Prince George’s County, Maryland, recognized the need for a brand refresh to stay competitive in the ever-evolving cosmetology industry. The company aimed to update its branding through a new logo and a user-friendly website that would seamlessly blend luxury with functionality. Drmwx was tasked with developing a new logo and designing a responsive website that would not only showcase DeeHairMovement’s products but also facilitate online purchases and appointment bookings. Approach

Drmwx strategically approached the project by implementing the WordPress Content Management System for website development and the Adobe Suite for crafting a new logo and establishing a cohesive brand guide. This approach aimed to leverage widely-used tools for an efficient and effective design process.

The web design process commenced with a deep brand analysis to understand DeeHairMovement’s values, target audience, and desired brand image. This was followed by comprehensive UX research, including user interviews, competitor analysis, site mapping, and wireframing. Drmwx’s team prioritized a user-centric approach to ensure the final design would resonate with the target audience.

Utilizing WordPress and the Elementor plugin, the agency transformed wireframes into a visually stunning and responsive website. The focus was on creating an intuitive and seamless user journey, from product discovery to appointment booking.

In parallel, the logo design process began with data gleaned from the brand analysis. Drmwx opted for a text-based logo, ensuring simplicity and elegance to align with the brand’s luxury positioning. The Adobe Suite facilitated the design process, enabling the creation of a timeless and versatile logo.

To maintain consistency in visual communication, Drmwx crafted a style guide that served as a reference for the brand’s colors, typography, and overall aesthetic. This guide would prove invaluable in ensuring uniformity across various touchpoints and future marketing materials.
